Our Story: Strengthening Local Healthcare Since 2006
The North Shore Health Network Foundation was established in 2006 to support the growing needs of our hospitals. Originally formed to assist the Blind River District Health Centre, the Foundation expanded in 2013 when the Richards Landing-Matthews and Thessalon sites joined the North Shore Health Network (NSHN).
Today, we serve 18 communities from Spanish to McDonald, Meredith, and Aberdeen Additional (160km), ensuring local healthcare remains strong.
Our Mission
To provide sustainable financial support to the North Shore Health Network (Richards Landing-Matthews, Thessalon, and Blind River) so that our hospitals can continue meeting the needs of the communities we serve.
Why Your Support Matters
Did you know? Ontario hospitals do not receive government funding for medical equipment. The province covers operational costs like salaries, maintenance, and supplies—but vital medical tools and technology must be funded through donations.
Your generosity helps:
Purchase new and replacement equipment to ensure top-quality care.
Keep essential health services close to home.
Support safer, more effective patient care.
Every dollar you give makes a direct impact on healthcare in your community.
Our Vision
Collectively ensuring that appropriate health care will always be within reach.
