Blind River, ON —Tim Hortons in Blind River has once again demonstrated its commitment to the local community by making a significant contribution to the North Shore Health Network Foundation (NSHNF).

On May 28, 2024 the North Shore Health Network Foundation accepted a cheque for $9,287.13 from the 2024 Smile Cookie Campaign.

Tim Hortons is no stranger to community involvement, having participated in numerous local initiatives and charitable events over the years. This latest act of generosity further solidifies their reputation as a business that’s Always Fresh and truly cares about the well-being of the North Shore. The funds will be directed toward upgrading / purchasing new medical equipment and supporting various health programs.

"We are thrilled to support the North Shore Health Network Foundation and contribute to the betterment of healthcare in our community," says Zia Darwish, Owner of Tim Hortons (Blind River). "It's our way of giving back to the people who have supported us over the years."

Joanne Falk, Chair of the North Shore Health Network Foundation notes that "Tim Hortons has been extremely supportive of our Foundation over the past several years, welcoming our volunteers and allowing us to share in the success of the Smile Cookie Campaign”.  She adds that “the partnership with Tim Hortons and the generosity of the community in embracing the campaign, particularly this year, has a significant effect on health and well-being, and we’re truly grateful to everyone who participated".

Through fundraising and community engagement, the North Shore Health Network Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that the North Shore Health Network (NSHN) has the tools needed to provide healthcare services from the Town of Spanish to Echo Bay. This generous donation from Tim Hortons will help with the purchase of new equipment and the replacement of aging technologies for the three NSHN sites, thus ensuring that healthcare professionals can offer up-to-date, effective services.
